Austrian motorcycle company, KTM has recently introduced Duke’s newest family member, the 390 Duke in Milan. The 375 cc street bike shars the same chassis with the 125 and 200 Duke and features a number of same premium technologies with its brothers such as the WP suspensions and Brembo brakes.Manufactured in India by Bajaj, the 390 Duke is built on a ultra-light trellis frame with a with a cast aluminium swingarm. Wheelbase is at 1,367 mm with a 170 mm unloaded ground clearance and 800 mm seat height. Weighing at only 150 kg (fueled), the bike makes a great street runner and easy to manouevre in the busy city traffic. As mentioned, the 390 Duke gets the WP upside-down fork at the front and WP monoshock at the rear, with both suspension travel at 150 mm. To complete the whole package, KTM throws in the front 300 mm disc with four-piston Brembo caliper and the rear 230 mm rotor with a single-piston Brembo caliper – both comes complete with Bosch ABS system. One thing that differentiates this bike from the others in the Duke family is the engine. The 36 kg, liquid-cooled, 375-cc single cylinder engine comes with 89 mm bore and 60 mm stroke and produces 44 hp at 9,500 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. It breathes through a 46 mm EFI throttle body. The injection, ignition and other the workings of the engine is controlled by a Bosch integrated digital system..But surely the 390 Duke will not make it here in Malaysia because of a certain license restrictions. -www.wemotor.com
