MV Agusta Brutale 800 – A Stroked Out Version Of Brutale 675 !

Ahead of its official launch at the Milan Motorcycle Show, better known as the EICMA, MV Agusta has previewed the Brutale 800, a stroked-out version of the popular Brutale 675. Priced at only € 1,000 more than the 675, the three-cylinder crotch rocket is set to rival against its own brother. In sales, at least.The 800 shares most of  its components with the 675. For instance, it uses a counter-rotating crankshaft, which is previously used only in MotoGP, to offer the best balance while riding and reducing inertia when changing direction. Other than that, both Brutales share the same technological advancements too.It gets a 798cc three-cylinder powertrain, which is also used in another MV bike, the Rivale. The engine pumps out 123 hp and a healthy 80 Nm of torque at 8,600 rpm. Because this is a stroked-out version of the 675, the stroke length increases from 45.9mm to 54.3mm, while the bore remains 79mm.Like the 675, the 167 kg bike comes with the optional electronically assisted shift (EAS) system which allows the rider to change gears very quickly without closing the throttle or using the clutch. The astounding system comes as standard for the “Italy” version. On top of that, the Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS) electronic package is also at its disposal. The system includes four pre-set engine maps specially to work with the eight-level traction control.Apart from the high-spec Brembo monoblocs, the bike is also fitted with fully adjustable suspensions at both ends – one of the few features that differentiate the 800 from the 675. -www.wemotor.com
