| Polo R WRC Edition |
Previewed as a concept earlier in May, Volkswagen has released a limited edition Polo R WRC to commemorate their entry into the World Rally Championship (WRC) next year. There will only be 2,500 units of this little monster.The Polo R WRC comes in a full aero kit in white with grey and blue racing stripes, similar to the real rally machine. Matching the suit is a set 18-inch alloy wheels. The cockpit is spruced up with Alcantara trim on the steering wheel, aluminium racing pedals and little bit of racing touch here and there.Power-wise, the Polo R WRC gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged mill producing 220 horsepower to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Unfortunately, the proven DSG will not be offered for this car. The car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds with a capability of reaching a top speed of 241 km/h.-www.wemotor.com
